Financing for entire Cayman
We have been strengthening economic development of the Cayman Islands since March 2002. We are the Islands’ only development bank, and our function is to support the activities of mortgage companies and local commercial banks. Our lending process is primarily focused on three key areas: small businesses, the housing sector and human resource development. Our branch is staffed by 13 members.
At the CIDB, Ms. Tracy Ebanks – the CEO and General Manager has over two decades of banking experience. Ms. Ebanks brought her reputation for down-to-earth pragmatism to an institution that handles high-risk loans, promoting the economy by stimulating the Islands’ entrepreneurial spirit.
“No application is too small for CIDB, ” she notes. “The bank considers loan requests from locals to run a range of small businesses, from automobile repairs, bakeries and beauty salons, to farm applications and retail tourism sales.”
In addition, the Bank recognises the need to assist small and modest homeowners in restructuring their mortgage loans. Ms. Ebanks uses her extensive credit background to assess application viability while also protecting CIDB’s assets.
She strongly believes in rekindling the economy by assisting local growth, creating jobs and counselling and advising customers. The CIDB is also committed to the development of human capital by providing tertiary education loans enabling Caymanians to attend top level universities overseas to fulfill their educational goals.
We believe in helping Caymanians achieve their goals and dreams. Our team maintains complete transparency, offering you complete details of your bank loan transactions. Our customers are valuable to us, and for this we ensure full financial security to them.
The Bank offers a range of loan types which from time to time are modified, enhanced or de-emphasized depending upon the availability of funding, the need to fill a special void in society, saturation in a particular sector or industry, etc. Our current range of loan products includes:
- Business loans
- Mortgages
- Student loans
- Various consumer loans
CIDB is committed to the development of the Cayman Islands’ human capital and through its vibrant student loan program provides funding to students attending tertiary institutions both locally and overseas. With the student loan program, students can choose to capitalize the interest on their loan and commence loan repayment after the completion of their course of study.
